PREOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS:
Acute appendicitis
POSTOPERATIVE DIAGNOSIS:
Acute appendicitis with perforation
PROCEDURE PERFORMED:
Open Appendectomy
INDICATIONS:Â This is a 38-year old male patient seen today for suspected acute appendicitis and is taken into surgery.
OPERATIVE REPORT: The patient was brought to the OR suite, draped, prepped and induced with general anesthesia. He was placed in the supine position, exposing the right abdomen. The internal oblique musculature and superficial fascia was reapproximated using additional #0 PDS.. The subcutaneous tissue wasÂ
